ABOUT ME

My current research efforts center around understanding how informal learning institutions envision and implement diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion (DEAI) work. I work to leverage research practice partnerships to create equitable learning experiences in STEM for all learners and inclusive working environments for practitioners within informal education spaces. I am currently a PhD candidate at UC Santa Barbara in the Gevirtz School of Education studying STEM education under the advisement of Dr. Danielle Harlow. Previously, I earned my MS in Science Education at UC Santa Barbara and my BS in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Arizona. Outside of my research, I enjoy swing dancing, scuba diving and walking my dog around the local nature reserve.
